NEXT GENERATION MINISTRY
Train a child in the way he should go. When he is old, he will not turn away from it. (Proverbs 22:6) Our Next Generation Ministry team is looking for individuals passionate about sharing God's love for the world with our children. Whether you have an hour a week or an hour a month, there is a way to get involved! No need to be a Biblical scholar, you just need to bring your love of God, love of kids, and some enthusiasm! All curriculum planning and supplies will be provided. If you are an adult or a high school student that would love to serve Christ through connecting children to Him, please prayerfully consider the serve opportunities below. All volunteers must be members or regular attendees for at least 6 months.
Teachers/ Small Group Leaders:
Pre-school: Lead craft, snack and play time for pre-school Sunday school children. 8:45 – 10:15 or 10:15 - 11:45. (weekly)
Elementary: Gather children from worship, attend large group, and lead small group activities for K-1, 2-3, or 4-5 classes. 9:20 - 10:15 or 10:50 – 11:45. (weekly)
Middle School: Facilitate small group Bible study. 9:00 – 10:00am. (weekly)
Substitute: Fill in where needed when teachers are absent. (as needed)
Set-up team: Arrive at BECAHI at 7:00 am to unload and set up classrooms in the gym or youth and children’s hallways. (one week a month) (Does not require clearances)
Breakdown team: Help pack up children and youth classrooms and load into storage container at 11:45 am. (one week a month) (Does not require clearances)
Greeters / Check-in Team: Greet parents and check in children for Sunday School. Shifts are 8:45-10:00am or 10:00-11:30am. (one week a month)
Gym monitors: Monitor families in the pre-school and elementary areas in the gym during hospitality time. 10:00 – 10:30. (one week a month)
Choir Volunteers: Attend choir rehearsals and assist the director as needed. Carol and Cherub choir: 10:00 – 10:50. Chorale: 10:15 – 11:30.
Acolyte Training: 3rd–8th grade students are eligible to assist in the Classic worship service as Acolytes. Students will receive a short training before serving.
"We are Christ's ambassadors" (2 Corinthians 5:20). By welcoming the people God has brought to our church, you will have the chance to positively influence visitors in those first crucial minutes.
Greeters: Our greeters deliver the first message of the morning by creating a welcoming environment for all who come to worship-- especially our newcomers/ first-time guests. Greeting requires personal warmth and energy in welcoming people who arrive on the campus, as well as knowledge to answer questions about where to go, where to take children, and anything else that a newcomer may need help with. Greeting conveys "we are glad you're here and we are ready for you." Greeters must arrive by 8:15 am. (one week a month)
Bakers: Bakers can signup to contribute homemade baked goods for our 10:00-10:30 Coffee and Community hour.
Servers: The Hospitality Team needs servers promote a warm and welcoming environment by serving food and beverages to our guests, members, and staff on Sunday mornings. Servers should check in with their hospitality lead in the lounge by 9:45 am. (one week a month)
Set-Up Coffee & Community Area: Arrive at 7:30 am to setup the food and beverage stations in the Coffee and Community lounge on Sunday mornings.
Breakdown Coffee and Community Area: After the 10:30 Coffee and Community Hour, pack up up the food and beverage stations, wash out coffee pots, inventory supplies, etc.
Usher: Ushers are responsible for guiding people into the worship space and providing what they need for the best possible worship experience. This means welcoming people at the doors of the auditorium, making sure they have a worship bulletin, guiding people to seats, and gathering the offering.
Special Events Ministry
Special Events Ministry is a cross-generational team of men and women who support the church community during "special events," (congregational events, like the ECO installation, volunteer celebrations, milestone anniversaries, etc.). Outside Hospitality TEAM
Parking/ Greeting/ Traffic Control: Our Outdoor Hospitality Team members are the first friendly faces that our guests see on a Sunday morning. Team members should be warm and welcoming to everyone as they enter the campus, and they also must be able to stand outside in hot/ cold/ rainy weather conditions. Shifts are 8:30-9:05 and 10:00-10:35. (one week a month)
Set Up/ Tear Down TEAM
Set Up Team: Load in all church equipment. Setup classrooms and signage. Assist in setting up technology in auditorium for sound, lighting, projection, and streaming. Ability to life 50 lbs, willingness to learn, training provided. Requires Saturday evening (5:00- 7:00 pm), or Sunday morning (6:00 am) availability. (one week a month)
Tear Down Team: Clean up stage and all technology after modern worship service. Tear down classrooms, hospitality, and signage. Pack up all equipment and place it in its correct place in the storage container. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Requires availability on Sundays from 11:30-1:00. (one week a month).
Worship Production TEAM
Multimedia Operator: Runs the computer that projects all slides and images on the projection screens. Requires attention to detail and basic word processing / computer skills. Training provideD. Required to serve at both the 9 and 10:30 a.m. service. Call time of 7 a.m. to run and spell check slides during rehearsals.
Lighting Operator: Operates lighting during 9 and 10:30 a.m. service. Training provided, no prior experience required. Call time 7 a.m. to run through cues and go over order of worship
Camera Operator: Operates camera at 9 and 10:30 a.m. service. Training provided. Ability to take directions and basic video skills is a plus. Call time 7 a.m. to set up camera and go through order of worship.
Livestream Audio Engineer: Run sound for the 9 and 10:30 live stream. Training provided. Experience in audio or mixing required. Call time of 7 a.m. to get mix set up during rehearsals
Livestream Video Switcher: Direct and execute the video for livestream. Call the camera shots and perform the cuts. Familiarity of video terms, computer proficiency, and ability to lead a team of people required. Training provided. Call time of 7 a.m. to help with livestream team and gain familiarity with songs / service.
Stagehand: Assist logistics team with load in. Move worship gear to required place. Training provided. Set up audio, projectors, and live stream. Ability to lift 50 lbs required. Call time 5 a.m. Sundays unless otherwise stated that there is a Saturday load in. Assist with changeover between services and tear down.
Office Team: Do you like meeting new people? We need a few friendly faces to join our outstanding team of office receptionists. This is a once a week commitment for 3 to 4 hours. Computer skills are helpful, but not required. Get to know the staff while answering the phone and welcoming visitors to the church.
